Food & Goodies
FOOD
We had some snacks out when the guests arrived. These included:
-Devil Dogs
-Scooby Doo Fruit Snacks
-Scooby Snack Cookies
-Halloween Oreo Cookies (with Ghost shaped Peeps stuck in the middle of the plate)
-Multicolored Popcorn (found at TJ Maxx and the colors went with the theme!)
-Cheese Doodles
-Roasted Red Pepper Hummus (orange) & Crackers
Some of the serving pieces added fun...
-new doggie bowls for Cheese Doodles
-Halloween plates for the Oreos (we picked up the plates years ago from Pottery Barn)
-Found an old Scooby Doo McDonalds Kids Meal bucket at a yardsale and used for cookies
-The Christmas Tree Shoppe had lots of Orange/Blue/Green trays, placemats, plates & cups on clearance from their summer items. The colors matched perfectly!
For lunch, Pizza was served.
DRINKS
For the kiddos, we had:
-Blue & Orange Gatorade
-Water
-Cold Apple Cider (the party was in October)

Since we also have grown-up family members attend the party (and out-of-towners that stay the night), we also offered a variety of "adult" drinks:
-Soda
-Hot Apple Cider
-Wine (all with a "Dog" or "Monster" theme)

-Beer (again with a "Dog" or "Halloween-type" theme)
CAKE
We went with cupcakes. I was going to special order them, but then saw that they had Halloween themed cupcakes in purple & orange (and each had a little monster ring on top- perfect!)
GOODY BAGS
The goody bags were little boxes in the shape of the Mystery Machine.
Inside, we put:
-Scooby bouncy ball
-Flashlight
-Magnifying Glass
-Scooby fruit snacks
The kids also took home their stuffed dog from the craft activity.
PLAYLIST
Songs to consider for background music...
some of them are a stretch, but the subtlety is sometimes half the fun!
